Giants make it official with Brown, sign Ojomo

The Giants made it official with running back Andre Brown, placing him on the injured reserve/designated for return.

But their choice of roster replacement could be interesting as it pertains to other positions.

According to Conor Orr of the Newark Star-Ledger, the promotion of defensive end Adewale Ojomo to the 53-man roster from the practice squad gives them depth with the status of Jason Pierre-Paul and Damontre Moore in doubt.

“He’s had a few practices,” Coughlin said of Pierre-Paul, who is returning from back surgery. “He’s done well in what we’ve asked him to do. He’d like more and we’re going to try and accommodate him.”

It sounds less certain that Moore will be ready to contribute, so Ojomo gives them another pass-rush option.

Looks like both teams in NY are in for a rough season

Not it doesn’t…just a depth sign. Scott is ready for a bigger role behind Wilson. Been on the team since ’11.

Remember, last year…you didn’t know who Andre brown was til Carolina.

    Great point by nonetruerthanblue..

We didnt know who Stevie Brown was either.

People are going to emerge – this is the pros. Giants fans need to calm down here. We needed OL in the draft, we needed DL in the draft – thats what won us our two titles.. Not LBs, and not game breaking performances from RBs.

This season will come down to the last 4 games, as it ALWAYS does in the NFC East.

If Ojomo sacks Romo I would like Elias to confirm that this is the most “o”s involved in the names of one defensive player / QB sack transaction in NFL history.

I would have let Brown go and picked up Dwyer.

Or for that matter Dennis Johnson. If DJ gets his chance he will impress. Sometimes you get people making decisions capriciously and with Johnson you have a versatile runner than can return kicks and give you that 100 yard game.
