The Texans loved what they saw of rookie offensive lineman David Quessenberry in training camp and the preseason. Unfortunately, they won’t be seeing anything from him in the regular season.

Quessenberry suffered a broken foot in practice this week will miss the entire season, the Houston Chronicle reports.

A sixth-round draft pick out of San Jose State, Quessenberry showed impressive versatility, and the team thought he could have contributed at either guard or tackle as a rookie.

Quessenberry will go on injured reserve. His roster spot may be taken by Antonio Smith, who is suspended for Week One but will come off the reserve/suspended list in Week Two.
