Broncos tight end Julius Thomas was arrested in Colorado last week when a check of his records during a traffic stop turned up an outstanding warrant for a previous driving violation.

Thomas was pulled over on August 28 for speeding and was cited for going 57 miles per hour in an area with a speed limit of 40 miles per hour. He was arrested for failing to appear in court after being cited for not pulling over for an emergency vehicle in January.

Linebacker Von Miller was also arrested for failing to appear in court earlier this year. Thomas posted $500 bond and is due back in court on September 12.

“We were notified of the issue involving Julius Thomas when it occurred on Aug. 28. It was addressed internally and is being resolved,” the Broncos said in a statement, via the Associated Press.

The team also tells PFT that Thomas will play against the Ravens on Thursday night. He is expected to make his second career start.
