The Seattle Seahawks released veteran fullback Michael Robinson during their final cuts last weekend. Now the Seahawks’ former special teams captain is getting a look from a new team.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Robinson is scheduled to visit with the Tennessee Titans on Friday.

Robinson was released by Seattle in a move to help alleviate future salary cap concerns. He was scheduled to make $2.5 million this season and the entirety of his contract came off the books for Seattle upon his release. In addition, Robinson had missed time with a sore ankle during training camp and came down with a viral infection over the final two weeks of camp that forced him to stay away from the team while recovering.

As contracts become fully guaranteed if players are on the roster for Week 1 of the season, Robinson will likely have to wait through the weekend before getting an offer from a team. In addition, the TItans could choose to wait to offer him a deal if he’s not completely past his illness as well. However, Robinson can be a contributor for many teams on special teams and should find a new team before too long.
