We’ve finally made it to the start of the regular season, which means both the return of Sundays filled with NFL football and Fridays full of injury reports updating us on the status of players around the league.
Over the course of the week, there are a lot of posts about the most prominent of those players but we know that you might not see all of them. As a result, we’ll comb through all the injury reports every Friday afternoon so that there’s one stop for all the news from every team playing on Sunday.
Cardinals at Rams
Arizona will be without tight end Rob Housler (ankle) and defensive end Calais Campbell (quad) is questionable. Running backs Andre Ellington (hamstring) and Rashard Mendenhall (knee) are both probable. Tight end Cory Harkey (knee), cornerback Quinton Pointer (thigh), safety Darian Stewart (thigh) and linebacker Jonathan Stewart (hip) have all been ruled out for the Rams.
Falcons at Saints
Wide receiver Roddy White (ankle) is listed as questionable for the Falcons, but he’s been insistent that he’ll play in his 129th straight game. Cornerback Asante Samuel and linebacker Stephen Nicholas are both questionable and both dealing with thigh injuries. The Saints ruled out safety Isa Abdul-Quddus (ankle) and DE Glenn Foster (ankle). Several other players -- including WR Marques Colston (foot), G Jahri Evans (back) and DE Junior Galette (hamstring) -- are probable for the NFC South tilt.
Bengals at Bears
It looks like starting left tackle Andrew Whitworth’s knee injury will keep him out of the Bengals opener. He’s been listed as doubtful, while the team has ruled out CB Brandon Ghee (concussion) and G Mike Pollak (knee). Defensive end Carlos Dunlap (concussion), tight end Tyler Eifert (forearm), cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick (concussion), tackle Andre Smith (knee) and defensive tackle Devon Still (knee) are all probable. The Bears have no players listed on the injury report.
Packers at 49ers
The Packers ruled out cornerback Casey Hayward (hamstring) earlier this week and listed safety Morgan Burnett (hamstring) and linebacker Brad Jones (hamstring) as questionable on Friday. 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha (collarbone) and running back LaMichael James (knee) are both questionable.
Chiefs at Jaguars
The Chiefs won’t have linebacker Nico Johnson (ankle) and will be making Sunday calls on safety Husain Abdullah (foot), guard Jon Asamoah (calf), defensive end Allen Bailey (not injury related) and tight end Travis Kelce (knee), all of whom are questionable. The Jaguars ruled tight end Marcedes Lewis out because of a calf injury. Quarterback Blaine Gabbert (thumb) is questionable to play and, therefore, questionable to start. Running back Justin Forsett (toe) and guard Will Rackley (ankle) are also questionable.
Dolphins at Browns
The Dolphins drafted two corners in April. Neither will play on Sunday as both Will Davis (toe) and Jamar Taylor (groin) have been ruled out. Another corner, Dimitri Patterson, is questionable with an ankle injury. Guard Shawn Lauvao (ankle) and linebacker Barkevious Mingo (lung) are out for the Browns. Defensive Ahtyba Rubin (calf) and cornerback Buster Skrine (shoulder) are both questionable.
Vikings at Lions
Vikings defensive tackle Kevin Williams won’t play because of a knee injury. The Vikings have 10 players listed as probable, including first-round picks Sharrif Floyd (knee) and Cordarrelle Patterson (back). Defensive end Ezekiel Ansah (concussion), safety Louis Delmas (knee) and defensive end Jason Jones (knee) are all proable for Detroit.
Patriots at Bills
Tight end Rob Gronkowski (back) is unlikely to play after being listed as doubtful by the Patriots, but wide receiver Danny Amendola (groin) appears set to go after getting the probable tag. Offensive lineman Will Svitek (knee) has been ruled out. Bills quarterback E.J. Manuel (knee) is going to start after being listed as probable, but safety Jairus Byrd (foot) is doubtful and cornerback Stephon Gilmore (wrist), kicker Dustin Hopkins (groin) and offensive lineman Doug Legursky (knee) are all out.
Raiders at Colts
Tackle Menelik Watson (knee) has been ruled out, forcing the Raiders to scramble for a left tackle once again. Tight end David Ausberry (shoulder) is also out and linebacker Sio Moore (foot) is questionable. Quarterback Matt Flynn (elbow) is probable, which means Terrelle Pryor won’t be starting by default if, as expected, he gets the start. One Colts linebacker, Kavell Connor, is out with an ankle injury and another, Pat Angerer, is doubful with a concussion. Left tackle Anthony Castonzo (knee) is probable after returning to work this week.
Seahawks at Panthers
The Seahawks say they will be making game-time decisions on defensive end Cliff Avril and cornerback Brandon Browner, both of whom are battling hamstring injuries, although Avril is less likely to play after getting labeled doubtful. Defensive tackle Tony McDaniel (groin), defensive tackle Brandon Mebane (groin) and wide receiver Sidney Rice (knee) are all probable. The Panthers listed defensive tackle Dwan Edwards (thigh), wide receiver Domenik Hixon (hamstring) and guard Amini Silatolu (hamstring) as questionable. Rookie running back Kenjon Barner is out with a foot injury.
Buccaneers at Jets
Bucs cornerback Darrelle Revis (knee) will make his debut with the team after getting listed as probable. Tight end Tom Crabtree (ankle) and guard Carl Nicks (toe) are both out. As reported earlier in the week, the Jets will not have defensive end Quinton Coples (ankle) or quarterback Mark Sanchez (shoulder). Wide receiver Santonio Holmes (foot) is questionable.
Titans at Steelers
The Titans should have linebacker Akeem Ayers (ankle) and tackle David Stewart (calf) after listing them as probable. The Steelers are likely to play without tight end Heath Miller (knee), who was listed as doubtful and is only starting to practice after tearing his ACL last year.
Giants at Cowboys
Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul (back) will be a game-time decision and fullback Henry Hynoski (knee) and defensive end Damontre Moore (shoulder) are also questionable. Center David Baas (knee) is out and wide receiver Victor Cruz (heel) is probable. The Cowboys list defensive end Anthony Spencer (knee) as doubtful and all signs point to him missing Sunday night’s game. Guard Ron Leary (knee) is probable.
