The Titans put fullback Quinn Johnson on injured reserve on Saturday and promoted Colin Mooney from the practice squad to replace him.

Johnson, 26, missed practice on Thursday and Friday with a quadriceps injury. He appeared in all 16 games for Tennessee in 2012, catching five passes for 40 yards and rushing for five yards on four carries.

Mooney played two games for the Titans a season ago, rushing for 19 yards on five carries. The 27-year-old Mooney played collegiately at Army.

According to Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean, the Titans worked out former Bengals fullback John Conner and ex-Seahawks fullback Michael Robinson on Friday.

I’d hate to take on a hit from a Terminator with a chip on his shoulder. That would be a Titanic attitude. These are not the Camerons you were looking for.

I would love for them to sign Conner over Mooney. Conner blows somebody up EVERY play.

they’ll probably put Mooney back on the practice squad after week 1. it was too late in the week to sign someone new and have him play vs Pitt.
