Brandon Browner out for Seahawks at Carolina

The Seahawks like the young depth they’ve assembled in their secondary. Today they’re going to need it.

That’s because starting cornerback Brandon Browner is inactive for the opener against the Panthers. Browner has been dealing with a hamstring injury and had been slated as a game-time decision. Apparently his hamstring wasn’t loose enough in pregame for him to give it a go.

With Browner out, cornerbacks Walter Thurmond and Byron Maxwell will get more playing time. Panthers quarterback Cam Newton would be wise to look in the direction of Thurmond and Maxwell and stay away from Richard Sherman.

Isn’t he the one with the big mouth? Oh wait, you could say that for just about any Seahawks player or HC.

Looks like Seattle is resting several players before their “Super Bowl” next week.

No need, didn’t the hawks smash the 9ers last year without him anyway? Being a gb fan even I know that. Niners football knowledge is cheap!

@chrismatthewssucks….it was a joke. Lighten up man. This is like a fifth preseason game for Seattle anyway. I wouldn’t press my top guys into service either if they were iffy. As for my football knowledge… a GB fan you should be aware that SF has GBs number. I sure hope they let SF win by “beating themselves” again. That was fun. Whether you win or lose please do so with class.

Let’s face it. 49er fans are fair weather beyond belief. Once the tat gang banger is made to play QB instead of running back, it will be funny.
