Romo expected to return for second half

Cowboys quarterback Romo looks down field as tight end Witten blocks Giants defensive end Tuck during their NFL game in Arlington, Texas Reuters

The Cowboys apparently dodged a bullet.

Cowboys officials told NBC’s Michele Tafoya that quarterback Tony Romo had the wind knocked out of him, and would return in the second half.

Romo left the game just before halftime when he was hit by a collection of Giants defenders. It appeared that Giants defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka caught Romo with his helmet, but was not penalized.

Of course, Romo has played through injuries before, going back to his Willis Reed act with a broken rib and a punctured lung against the 49ers two years ago.

He is so courageous. He will probably only throw 20 interceptions this year.
