If running back Ryan Williams’ third season is going to look much different than his first two, he’s going to have to start making some changes in the weeks to come.

Williams who was an observer more than a player because of injuries in his first two seasons and he’s an observer again this Sunday for Arizona. Williams wasn’t on the injury report heading into the game, which would make him a healthy scratch. That’s not a great spot to find yourself in the first week of the season when two of the tailbacks who did dress for the game are rookies.

Cornerback Jamell Fleming, linebacker Alex Okafor, defensive tackle Alameda Ta’amu, tackle Bobbie Massie, guard Earl Watford and tight end Rob Housler, who was ruled out during the week with an ankle injury.

The Rams’ inactives are safety Darian Stewart, cornerback Quinton Pointer, tight end Cory Harkey, linebacker Jonathan Stewart, center Barrett Jones, guard Brandon Washington and defensive end Gerald Rivers.
