Three early turnovers put Giants in a hole

David Wilson AP

A year ago, Giants running back David Wilson found himself in the doghouse after a fumble in the opener.

This year, they can’t afford give him that treatment.

With Ahmad Bradshaw a Colt and Andre Brown on short-term IR, the Giants almost have no choice but to stick with Wilson, but he’s far from the only problem so far.

Giants quarterback Eli Manning threw a Sanchez-ian pick to DeMarcus Ware on a screen pass on their first drive, leading to a Cowboys field goal and a 3-0 lead on Sunday Night Football. And he just followed with another pick to Will Allen.

It’s certainly an unusual start for the Giants, who haven’t lost in the Cowboys’ new building.

Fear not, Giants fans. As long as Romo’s healthy, he’ll make the bonehead play of the day.

    Hang in there.

Romo will throw it away in the end, no fears here.

And there’s one of his bonehead plays there.

This game is kind of starting out like last year’s match up in Dallas, except the Cowboys had like 4 TOs in the 1st quarter and a half last year.

…. And Romo, on cue, throws an INT (Wasn’t his fault though).

    Are we still in preseason?
3 T/O’s and the Cowboys can’t produce anything.

I’m just mad because I still haven’t watched early enough to see Carrie Underwood.

Well pretty safe to say that the skins will repeat this year thanks to colorblind qbs and running backs with fumblitis

Can we trade our entire team for Monte Kiffin and George Selvie? This means you have to take our hack coaches as well. Let me know.

  14. jbaxt says: Sep 8, 2013 9:13 PM

Once the Giants stop playing like the raiders all will be well.

Rg3 has to stay healthy first. Plus I don’t see these read option qbs having the same kind of luck this year. Coaches have plenty if tape to digest and scheme with. I don’t think the read option is the flash in the pan some people claim but I do think some of its effectiveness will be lost.

Oh yeah forgot to tell you Cowboy fans — if you hire Monte Kiffin and his Tampa 2 defense you also must accept that old Bucs offense. Sorry about that – we did win a SB with it so it’s not all bad. But get used to a lot of 12-10 shootouts.

Thank God the Giants won a fifth pre season game in the lottery cause they look like GARBAGE!

Repeat what, making the playoffs without winning a game?

  19. nananatman says: Sep 8, 2013 9:42 PM

    Wilson looks really bad

Michael Turner anyone? WIlson can’t remain a Starter if he keeps fumbling, end of story…

  21. bluebongzilla says: Sep 9, 2013 12:15 AM

It’s almost poetic how Eli threw the game away at the end, considering some of these comments.

  22. Mr. Wright 212 says: Sep 9, 2013 3:04 PM

Scott botched the play, not Eli.
