It’s no surprise that the Giants are going to work out running backs tomorrow, and neither is one of the particular names.

According to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports, the Giants will bring in former Giants back Brandon Jacobs for a look-see. ESPN’s Adam Schefter adds former Ravens and Broncos back Willis McGahee to the list, saying the visit was scheduled since Friday.

While that very well could be the case, it became far more important last night, when David Wilson doubled up on his opening week fumble from a year ago and earned a seat next to Tom Coughlin.

The Giants clearly need to add at the position, though they also need to make sure Wilson doesn’t go in the tank. He’s still a first-round talent, but if they can take a bit of pressure off him while they work on his technique, it could pay off in the short-term and the long.
