The Seahawks have a showdown with their NFC West rivals in San Francisco on Sunday night and it will be a couple more days before we know whether or not they’ll have cornerback Brandon Browner in the lineup for it.
Coach Pete Carroll said at his press conference Wednesday that he thinks Browner has a real chance to play in the game. The coach also announced that Browner would run today and practice on Thursday as he makes his way back from the hamstring injury that kept him out of the team’s Week One win in Carolina. Once those things happen, the Seahawks will make a decision about whether or not Browner will play against the 49ers.
“We’ll wait until Friday to see how he responds to Thursday and go from there,” Carroll said.
Walter Thurmond started in place of Browner last weekend with Byron Maxwell playing outside in sub packages while Thurmond kicked inside to his familiar slot position.
