None of the wide receivers the Falcons looked at yesterday are replacements for Roddy White.

But the fact they’re looking might suggest he’s going to need some time.

According to multiple reports, the Falcons worked out Lavelle Hawkins, Mohamed Massaquoi and Courtney Roby yesterday.

White has admitted he’s not close to 100 percent, and the ankle problem could be something that bothers him for some time.

The Falcons have plenty of receiving threats without him, but the whole is clearly better with White on the other side from Julio Jones. The fact they’re bringing in veteran receivers for workouts (as opposed to young emergency-list updaters) might point to needing someone for short-term cover.
