Peyton thinks media should ask him about Giants’ D, not Eli

Peyton Manning is facing Eli Manning on Sunday, as you’ve probably heard. But considering that they’ll never be on the field at the same time, maybe we should be talking about more than just Peyton vs. Eli.

That’s what Peyton thinks. Talking to Denver reporters today, Peyton said he had spoken earlier in the day on a conference call with the New York media, and that he wanted to talk about his preparation for the Giants’ defense.

“I had the New York conference call today. Not one question about the Giants’ defense. I had to force that in there myself. That’s where our focus is,” Manning said.

Eli expressed similar thoughts.

“All week in preparation I’m worried about their defense. I’m worried about Denver’s defense,” he said.

Both brothers seemed like they thought the focus on them was overkill. Eli said dryly, “Obviously I know who the opposing quarterback is,” while Peyton said he only intended to talk about Eli today and didn’t want to constantly face questions about facing off against his brother.

No matter how much everyone else is focusing on Peyton vs. Eli, Peyton and Eli are focusing on the opponents they’re actually going to have to face on Sunday.

Even quarterbacks are tired of talking and hearing about quarterbacks. About time!!!

That makes far too much senses – the media will never go for it.

That’s what I’ve said when people say Peyton can’t win big games and that he only beat Rex Grossman in the Super Bowl. He beat the #1 Chicago defense. Outdoors. In the rain. It’s not like a pitchers duel in baseball.

Who is Manning up? Doesn’t look good for the younger, frailer, guy with the overbite at the moment. Mind you the bigger older brother has that grotesque melon bobbleheading around on a creaky neck, so who knows?

NO. I wanna hear more about them growing up and how they feel about each other!

It’s the show. They don’t have to talk about it just deflect the questions. But stating let’s talk about the d. Whatever.

They should ask him about Eli’s interceptions.

Why are the Manning’s afraid to play each other….

Anyone who comments that they would rather have RGIII over the Mannings obviously doesn’t care about winning… Even a Skins fan would agree that RG was in a funk last game, throwing off his back foot, standing on his toes throwing with little or no zip on the ball..

so…..Manning was talking “football on his phone” ?
