Champ Bailey still hasn’t practiced

Bailey

Last Thursday, as the Broncos prepared to face the Ravens without cornerback Champ Bailey, executive V.P. of football operations John Elway told Liam McHugh and some other guy on a special edition of NBCSN’s Pro Football Talk that Bailey would be likely to play in Week Two.

Bailey may play, but he’s yet to practice.

The future Hall of Famer continues to be out with a foot injury, missing practice on both Wednesday and Thursday.

Also missing practice both days this week was tight end Joel Dreessen, who has a knee injury. Linebacker Wesley Woodyard (ankle) didn’t practice Wednesday, but he practiced Thursday on a limited basis.

Receiver Wes Welker (ankle) was limited on both Wednesday and Thursday. Receiver Eric Decker (shoulder) was limited on Wednesday but fully participated on Thursday.

The Broncos play the Giants in New York on Sunday.
