Dion Jordan hoping to extend his streak over Luck

Dolphins pass-rusher Dion Jordan knows Colts quarterback Andrew Luck well.

The particulars of their meeting he knows less well, but knows what the final score is from their days at Oregon and Stanford.

“Yeah, me and Luck know each other pretty well,” Jordan said, via Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald. “I never lost to Andrew Luck. I don’t plan on it.”

Jordan was a member of the Ducks teams that beat Luck’s Cardinal 52-31 in 2010 and 55-30 in 2011.

While Jordan claimed to have gotten Luck to the ground “two or three” times, the box scores showed he had half a sack. But Luck winced at the revisiting, regardless.

“I try to forget most of my matchups against Oregon, so thanks for bringing those up,” Luck deadpanned Wednesday when asked about the one-sided rivalry. “I just remember [he’s] fast, athletic, eats up space and physical. A lot of respect for him as a player.”

The Dolphins rookie isn’t starting, and played as many snaps on special teams as defense as he adjusts his style and his body to the pro game — something Luck didn’t get or need any time to adapt to.

Who cares about those rootless programs, bow down to Washington!

You don’t need an actual sack to put a QB on the ground. There is a stat called QB Hits too.

It’s funny he didn’t mention he was on the Oregon defense that gave up 30+ pts in each of those games.

    He played for Oregon.

The only problem I see here is that the teams he played for in Oregon might possibly be able to beat the Dolphins…

Not really something to get excited about. Unless he is going to pull a Woody Hayes tackle from the side line on the boy wonder as he is streaking down the field on the way to another come from behind victory. No? I don’t think so either. Colts 30 Fish 17

Unfortunately, the miami dolphins are far from the pro equivalent of the oregon ducks, so this game will hardly be the 20+ point win over luck that jordan is accustomed to. like last year, should be another good one in indianapolis.

Jordan didn’t say he sacked him two or three times. He said he had gotten him to the ground, two or three times. No need to bring up he only had 1/2 a sack, as he didn’t say he sacked him. Just hit him.

Luck will be the far superior pro… whether or not that means more team success- we shall see…

I just hope for Miami’s sake, Jordan isnt another AAron Maybin.. no fan base should ever have to sit through that travesty

Jordan had 1/2 a sack and 2 1/2 flagrant foul late hits.

Luck should be more worried about Cameron Wake ruining his career. Miami’s front 7 is nasty.
