For the second week in a row, the Jets are playing with two very inexperienced quarterbacks.
The Jets’ inactives for tonight’s game against the Patriots are out, and they include both of their veteran quarterbacks, Mark Sanchez and Brady Quinn. That means rookie starter Geno Smith will be backed up only by Matt Simms, who has never played in a regular-season game.
The Jets’ other inactives are receiver Jeremy Kerley, guard William Campbell, tackle Ben Ijalana, tackle Oday Aboushi and defensive end Quinton Coples.
The Patriots’ inactives are running back Brandon Bolden, receiver Danny Amendola, offensive lineman Will Svitek, linebacker Steve Beauharnais, tight end Rob Gronkowski, tight end Zach Sudfeld and defensive lineman Chris Jones.
