In standardizing the injury report, the NFL put numerical values on each category to make it easier to understand, i.e. questionable means a 50 percent chance of playing.
Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles has a better way with words than numbers.
According to Randy Covitz of the Kansas City Star, Charles was asked Friday how close to being 100 percent he was, and replied: “I’m ready-to-play percent.”
Charles went through a full practice and is listed as probable, but will obviously play, since he’s ready-to-play percent. That’s way better than any number or “virtual certainty to play.”
