Clay Matthews wasn’t the only one fined for an illegal hit during the Packers-49ers game.

In fact, 49ers linebacker Ahmad Brooks and receiver Anquan Boldin incurred fines that totaled more than the $15,000 Matthews was fined for his hit out of bounds on 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Brooks was docked $12,500 for roughing Aaron Rodgers. Brooks was penalized on the play, and it was a costly penalty that helped the Packers move down the field on the drive that resulted in a touchdown just before halftime.

Boldin was fined $7,875 for a hit on Green Bay’s Jarrett Bush in the third quarter. Boldin drilled Bush with a hard block just as Kaepernick was running out of bounds, and although the officials on the field didn’t throw a flag, the league office reviewed the hit and ruled that it was late.
