Heath Miller, Cortez Allen, Le’Veon Bell won’t play Monday night

Le'Veon Bell AP

Steelers tight end Heath Miller (knee), cornerback Cortez Allen (ankle) and running back Le’Veon Bell (foot) have been ruled out of Monday’s game at Cincinnati, the club disclosed on its Twitter feed on Saturday.

Miller and Bell missed Week One with their injuries. Allen, the Steelers’ starting right cornerback, suffered an ankle injury in the season-opening loss to Tennessee.

Miller has long been the Steelers’ top tight end, while Bell, a rookie from Michigan State, is expected to be a key part of the running game once he returns to action.

In addition to not having Allen Monday night, the Steelers may be without reserve cornerback Curtis Brown (illness), whom the team lists as doubtful. The club currently has just three healthy cornerbacks: Ike Taylor, William Gay and Antwon Blake.

In better injury news for Pittsburgh, placekicker Shaun Suisham (left hamstring) and nose tackle Steve McLendon (hamstring) are probable.

If the bengals do not win by three touchdowns at home, they should consider it a failure.

Why are we stuck with this game on a Monday Night?

Two lousy teams no one cares about.

Bury them on Sunday where we’re not forced to watch.

    Why the thumbs down????

    Am I not right?

Here’s what should worry Pittsburgh fans – you haven’t won since the NFL started testing for PEDs.

    No more cheating horse steroids.

No more cheating steroids at all.

Pirates used to be decent. How many years since they had a +.500 year before this season?

That’s where the Steelers are headed.

Second class city. Second class team.

realitycheck needs a reality check. The Steelers have the most wins of any AFC franchise. Ben Roethlisberger has the 4th highest winning percentage at QB all-time with a minimum of 100 starts. Since 1970, the Steelers are near the top in wins, playoff appearances, AFC Championship appearances, Super Bowl appearances, and #1 in Super Bowl Championships. Steroids did not cause all of that. If the Steelers are a second class team, how come they fill opponents’ stadiums with 10,000 fans every game?

Interesting that realitycheckbaby has no interest in watching the Steelers or Bengals on Monday night, but he’s posted twice on this thread.

Deb it’s JFM the unflushable hiding under one of his many screen names. He will be the first to post in the morning….ignore the misguided babe. Don’t worry he will disappear when the ravens lose. He has no guts just an avid typist .
