The Colts lost 24-20 to the Dolphins on Sunday and they may also lose one of their wide receivers for a while.

Philip B. Wilson of the Indianapolis Star reports that Colts coach Chuck Pagano said after the game that wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey needs an MRI on his shoulder. Heyward-Bey left the game after coming down hard on a throw from Andrew Luck.

Heyward-Bey had two catches for 10 yards before leaving and his departure opened up a bigger role for T.Y. Hilton, who had two big catches to set up an Ahmad Bradshaw touchdown just before halftime. Hilton had six catches for 124 yards before the half, but was shut out by the Miami defense in the second half.

If Heyward-Bey is out for an extended period, Hilton will start opposite Reggie Wayne. Griff Whalen was the third receiver when the Colts went with those packages on Sunday and presumably would remain in that role with LaVon Brazill out two more games because of a suspension.
