Lightning delay in Seattle

They’re used to dealing with rain in Seattle.

Lightning, on the other hand, has sent the 49ers and Seahawks to the locker room, with the game still scoreless in the first quarter.

The Weather Channel’s Jim Cantore just told NBC’s Al Michaels that the delay could be 25 to 30 minutes.

With weather lightning delaying the opener at Denver, and holding up the Saints and Buccaneers for an hour today, it makes you wonder what kind of luck the NFL is going to have with a New York Super Bowl.

Perfect timing since breaking bad is on. Lets make it last until around 9.

They wouldn’t have pulled the girls off the field in the Lingerie Bowl. This is what you get when you have a lawyer in charge of everything. Safety first, right ladies!?

Im sure Reverend Ray Lewis will blame the game delay on The Niners.

Praying for a blizzard in Jersey for the game.

Stupid rule is stupid. The poor fans who paid to be there are still stuck out in the rain and lightening, so there’s no way the NFL is giving a crap about the fans when this happens.

Player safety, yet the NFL allows 34 yard Slip ‘n Slides on each sideline

Dang Roger, the niners were not even losing yet.

So the nfl was worried about losing ratings to breaking bad

I swear I thought that. As soon B.B. ended I flipped back to the game and the first snap was being taken.

The show literally keeps getting better.

Not true at all, I was at the game and there were suitable audible announcements and jumbotron signage announcing the severe weather warning and advising fans to seek cover. The smart ones all did and we packed the concourses for a big beer and dinner break (the concessionaires were the big winners in that delay).

I was actually surprised they didn’t call it sooner, as there were lightening bolts striking within view of the stadium crowd before they shut the game down.
