The defenses have played well in Sunday’s Broncos-Giants game.
However, the points are slowly but surely starting to pile up.
After the Broncos took a 17-9 lead on a two-yard Peyton Manning-to-Wes Welker touchdown pass, the Giants responded with a nine-play, 81-yard TD drive ending in Brandon Jacobs’ one-yard score. The Broncos were penalized four times on the drive, with the biggest call against them a Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie pass interference penalty in the endzone.
Two plays (and another Denver penalty) later, Jacobs scored to cut the Broncos’ lead to 17-16 late in the third quarter.
UPDATE 5:46 p.m. ET: The Broncos extended their lead to 24-16 late in the third quarter on Knowshon Moreno’s second rushing TD of the game.
