Seahawks and 49ers off to a wild start already

AP

On a day full of wild finishes, the 49ers and Seahawks are setting the stage for another one.

Already on Sunday Night Football, we’ve had a blocked punt that may or may not have been caused by a whistle in the crowd, and a Colin Kaepernick interception.

It’s deafening at CenturyLink Field as they try to set a Guinness record for noise, and the din may have contributed to the Seahawks having a punt blocked. Several of their players appeared to stand up at once, allowing the 49ers an easy block.

But Seahawks safety Earl Thomas kept it from mattering, catching a tipped pass for an interception.

This has the makings of a wild one, which is only right at the end of a wild day.

  1. No disrespect Seattle but it sounds like all the whistling form the fans messed your special teams up… Dang, your so loud your offensive line thought it was the refs…

  2. Interception followed by another interception, pathetic, when will the media get off the two qb’s straps and realize they are nothing but average on very good teams.

  3. Someone needs to ask Pete Carroll after the game how a whistle sound in his stadium is something that should be addressed at game time. I have no doubt it was frustrating, but come on. What is the ref supposed to do?

Yea None of the $20M QBs have ever thrown picks.

  5. What the HELL are Seattle fans doing making all that noise when THEY have the ball?? And the QBs will shave their eyebrows anyway. Martin Scorsese called and says he wants his eyebrows back!

  6. Kudos to the 12th man tonight you guys are the MVP. Seattle is mediocre at best… You have to admit it S-town. If you guys weren’t so loud the Niners would be up by 14.

Your offense is offensive… So is ours but we can’t hear… Our defense kicks a zzz…

Now, we all know what goes around comes around… Candlestick park hosted the Beatles… The new Levi’s Stadium will have much more Seattle like acoustics… So enjoy this year and welcome to Santa Clara Hell next year…

  7. Seattle is welcome to do whatever they can for 2nd place, but there’s not a sports venue in the world that will break the decibel level that the fans of the mighty University of Santa Barbara Gauchos set vs UNLV in a late 90s basketball game at the legendary Thunder dome!! Google it…

Doesn’t matter where the whistle came from… Why was a false start not called? The completely inept officiating in the nfl continues.

Wait…I thought that when it comes to the Seahawks, we only complain about the officiating from replacement refs.

Please correct me if I’m wrong…
