It’s tied 17-17 at halftime, however, after rookie Caleb Sturgis nailed a 54-yard field goal as time expired on the half to even things up.
Hilton has six catches for 124 yards, including a pair on the Colts’ final possession before the half to set up a one-yard touchdown run for Ahmad Bradshaw. Luck has thrown for 242 yards overall, including a touchdown to Coby Fleener that was set up by a 40-yard gain on a previous Fleener catch.
All that offense came after the Colts survived an early jolt from the Dolphins. Mike Wallace caught three passes, including a touchdown, on the first drive of the game and a 67-yard gain by tight end Charles Clay set up a 10-yard Lamar Miller touchdown run later in the first quarter. The Dolphins punted three times after that, however, and the Colts were able to find their footing.
With 556 total yards between the two teams thus far, there’s a good chance this one will remain a shootout over the final 30 minutes.
