One thing that was clear last night is that the Bengals have sufficiently bolstered their running game with the addition of Giovani Bernard.

Now, they no longer need to wait for Bernard Scott. The team announced Scott had been released from the reserve/physically unable to perform list, making him a free agent.

Scott had rehabbed last year’s torn ACL, which along with other injuries limited him to two games in 2012.

He has shown enough as a return man and in spot duty that he should be able to find work elsewhere if he’s well.
