Broncos considering short-term IR for Clady

Peyton Manning, Ryan Clady, Rob Ninkovich AP

On Monday, we reported that Broncos left tackle Ryan Clady could miss at least a few weeks with a Lisfranc sprain.

Those few weeks could be at least eight.

Per a league source, the Broncos are still evaluating their options for Clady.  Those options include placing Clady on short-term injured reserve.

If that happens, Clady would not be able to practice for six weeks or play for eight.  Thus, the sooner they put him on short-term IR, the better.

Chris Clark will be the first guy to replace Clady, who has never missed a game in five-plus NFL seasons.

What a bummer. Would be nice if he could miss the eight weeks and then come back for the last 5-6 weeks and get ready for the playoffs. Get well soon big Clady!

He will have to work hard to get back in game shape– imagine how much more he will hold when he gets back!

    Not that we’ll see a flag…

If Clady goes on short term IR then Manning will end up long term IR

Come here n talk bad about someone who is clearly a great offensive talent. Makes sense. If the only thing you got is holding well you must hate all offensive line men because let’s be real. THEY ALL HOLD

Peyton will notice the difference. But luckily it will only be short term memory loss for the old fella.

This is a bigger loss than Dumerville, hope he comes back strong and doesn’t rush back. We need him when it counts, we’ll need him come playoff time but be just fine for ye regular season.

I’m sure Von Miller can get him something to feel better…

Did I say “feel better”, I mean play better…

They are gonna have to put Manning on short term IR once Lamar Houston gets ahold of him.

He’s done for the season. Chris Clark was horrific in the preseason so you can look for Zane to move to LT when Kup gets healthy.
And we love all the hate boys so keep it coming as your teams fade away and the Broncos continue to dominate.

With Manning behind center, playoffs is usually playoff.

Jbaxt, just because your chefs have beat two mediocre teams doesn’t mean you should come out of the cellar talking crap just yet. Shut up before we mistake you for a raider troll. Know your place. The jets have won a SB more recently than your team.

The Welker curse will be a blessing when that ball has to come out quickly. No worries!
