Duane Brown says he has “a pretty bad case of turf toe”

Sunday was a bad day for left tackles.

Broncos left tackle Ryan Clady?  Out with a foot sprain.  Seahawks left tackle Russell Okung?  Out with turf toe.

Texans left tackle Duane Brown?  Possibly out with turf toe, too.

Brown, who missed only a handful of plays on Sunday against the Titans before returning, acknowledged the injury on Tuesday’s CSN Houston’s SportsTalk Live.

Had a bit of a scare,” Brown said.  “Had someone fall on me.  Injured my right big toe.  It’s a pretty bad case of turf toe.  Just taking it one day at at time, see how it heals by the end of the week.”

If Brown can’t go, swing tackle Ryan Harris would take over.

Brown said it appears he’ll be a game-time decision for Sunday’s game against the Ravens in Baltimore.

Why can’t the left tackle getting injured be someone deserving like Joe Staley?

That means, stack the box and make Scahub beat you. After you tee off on him, he’ll curl up a la Tony Romo in the 4th quarter.

That’s huge. 2-0, but definitely have issues on both sides of the ball. Put up or shut up time, call me in December.

Dumervil and Suggs will be ready to hunt on Sunday!! Schaub is the weakest part of that offense and will be the hunted!

Turf Toe ended many a good tackle’s career.
    See Jon Ogden.

Sunday in Baltimore, expect a standing ovation for Ed Reed.

Then Suggs, Dumerville, Canty and Ngata gonna hunt!

After watching tape of the Ravens defense – “Coach, I think I should rest up for a real game and take a week off.”
“No worries Duane, we’re giving some other guys off too. We expect a rout.”
