ProFootballTalk: Weeden or weed-out?

ProFootballTalk: Brandon Weeden sprained the thumb on his throwing hand on Sunday against Baltimore. While there are conflicting reports about the severity of the injury, it looks like Weeden will at least miss this weekend’s game. Don’t be surprised if Weeden’s replacement, either Jason Campbell or Brian Hoyer, makes a run at the starting job regardless of Weeden’s status going forward.

I say give Hoyer a shot. He can’t do any worse than Weeden.

I’ll bet both of the Cleveland QB’s Campbell and Hoyer come down with a really bad case of the FLU Saturday night.

Cuz what the 2nd youngest team in the NFL with a rookie head coach REALLY needs after an 0-2 start is a QB controversy…wow
