Steelers cut Shayne Graham, sign some CB depth

Shayne Graham AP

The Steelers didn’t need Shayne Graham Monday night, so they certainly didn’t need him Tuesday.

Graham was signed last week as insurance in case Shaun Suisham wasn’t able to go because of a hamstring injury, but Suisham did.

To take Graham’s roster spot, they promoted cornerback Isaiah Green from the practice squad. That gives them some depth at the position they could have used last night, with Cortez Allen and Curtis Brown out.

Reached for comment, Graham said he would pursue other interests, like finding a team that can actually get into field goal range.

    Skins could use him

I am surprised that Graham hasn’t found a permanent team yet, he’s a good Kicker.

This team should be looking for help on offense. They are one of the worst offenses in the LG.

That picture looks like Billy Cundiff.

Are we certain they are two different people?

Graham has now suited up for all 4 AFC-N clubs.
Surprised you didn’t go with that in the article.

Todays quiz. Has any other player played for all 4 teams in a division ?

The prize; Grahams unwashed jock from the ’08 Browns Bengals game.

0 2 Not sure what the LG is , but you have finally said something that makes sense. I had to read it twice……proves the intellectually challenged can be right , but not very often.

Week 17 of the ’06 season @ PBS, Bengals need a win against the Steelers to reach the play-offs. Shayne Graham misses a late game winning FG try, and were out.

65.000 Bengal fans @ PBS that day would disagree with the notion that Graham is a ‘good’ kicker. Most Bengal fans will not forgive him for that miss.

J.T O’sullivan played for every team in the NFC north. I actually think he played for them all in a row or pretty close. If I’m correct please forward my prize to Mr.Michael Florio

What a coincidence, graham turned down an interview with the ravens for the same thing.

ravens scored 27 against the broncos. you are supposed to make fun of the defense.

  18. steelcurtainn says: Sep 17, 2013 11:11 PM

true scoobs but The ravens were shut out at half time against the brownies and only scored 4 more points then the steelers this week. not letting jmf get away with any cheap shots.

Wow, didn’t think a QB would have made it to 4 clubs in the same division. That takes some cohonas…….

@’ball20hawk’, would you like me to wash the jock before I send it over ? There might be some US border patrol regs about stuff like this ?

  21. scoobies05 says: Sep 18, 2013 1:26 PM

i hear ya steel. ravens offense looked bad…receivers need to catch. for the most part i think joe has played well. and on the flip sode ravens defense allowed 14 fewer points than the steeler defense

  22. Joemontanaflacco says: Sep 19, 2013 8:28 AM

“What a coincidence, graham turned down an interview with the ravens for the same thing.”

Actually, the Ravens got into FG range TWICE during the first half so Graham would have had plenty of reasons to want to join up with the present and future SB Champs.
