As PFT reported on Tuesday, the Broncos are unsure enough about the outlook for left tackle Ryan Clady’s sprained foot that they are evaluating all their options about how to proceed.
That includes the possibility that Clady could wind up on injured reserve with the designation to return, which would open up both a spot on the roster and a spot on the depth chart at tackle. As a result, the Broncos are kicking tires on options to fill those spots.
Ed Werder of ESPN reports that one of those options is former Eagle and Colt Winston Justice. According to Werder, Justice worked out for the team on Wednesday.
Justice didn’t generate much interest as a free agent this offseason after playing 12 games with the Colts last season. Justice’s experience is mostly on the right side of the line, making it unlikely that he’d leap over Chris Clark in the event that Clady needs to be replaced for an extended period of time.
