No practice for Duane Brown, Andre Johnson

Pollard

As the Texans get ready to return to the place where their first ever playoff run came to an end in early 2012, they could be missing a pair of key players.

Both left tackle Duane Brown and receiver Andre Johnson missed practice on Wednesday.

Brown has said he has a “pretty bad case of turf toe,” and Johnson suffered a concussion on an illegal hit from Titans safety Bernard Pollard.

Safety Ed Reed (hip) practiced on a limited basis as he prepares to make his Houston debut in Baltimore, where he spent all of his career before signing with the Texans. Also limited was guard Wade Smith, who has a knee injury.

Nine injured Texans fully participated in practice, including running back Arian Foster, who has a calf and chest injury.
