Trent Richardson isn’t the only new face on the Colts roster.

Indianapolis announced that they have promoted wide receiver Da’Rick Rogers from the practice squad. Rogers starred at Tennessee as a sophomore in 2011, but left the school after failing several drug tests. He went undrafted after spending the 2012 season at Tennessee Tech and failed to make the Bills out of training camp.

Rogers joins the team in the wake of the news that tight end Dwayne Allen will miss the rest of the season after having hip surgery. Allen missed last week’s game against the Dolphins and the Colts used more three receiver sets on Sunday as a result. Rogers’ elevation could be a sign that they’ll be doing more of the same in the coming weeks as well.

The Colts also saw wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey go down with a shoulder injury against Miami, but he’s been practicing this week and it looks like he will be in the lineup against San Francisco.
