PFT on NBCSN: Dwight Freeney, Week Three underdogs

Bruce Arians, Dwight Freeney AP

We’ve already spoiled a bit of what Chargers linebacker Dwight Freeney had to say during his visit with the Pro Football Talk on NBCSN crew.

Freeney told Erik Kuselias that he doesn’t think quarterbacks will be able to survive playing in the offense that Eagles coach Chip Kelly is running this season, but that’s just part of the conversation. We’ll also find out if Freeney still has to remind himself that there’s a lightning bolt instead of a horseshoe on the side of his helmet and talk about his desire to sack longtime teammate Peyton Manning when the Chargers face the Broncos.

We’ll also continue our look ahead at Week Three by checking out the underdogs this week. Our crew will offer their thoughts about which of those underdogs will bark the loudest.

It all gets started at 6 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

He’s right. Michael Vick was quoted on the first game of the year saying “Its going to be a long year at this pace”

The underdogs bit should be interesting since there are a ton of small spread games and it would be pretty bold to pick any of the big underdogs this week. I’m guessing they will be looking at maybe Detroit and St. Louis and Cinci as teams hot under pressure to win this week. Maybe KC and San Diego will get some mentions but teams like BAL as the home team and a very small spread is too cheap to consider them an underdog.

Have you seen Freeney over these two games with the Chargers? He hasnt gotten many sacks, but he is still a beast. Whoa-a-a-a

KC and STL ended up getting picked from my list. Florio tripped me up with his Steelers pick, I thought he was going for Detroit.
