Ray Rice misses practice again

Rice AP

The Ravens have been mum about the condition of Ray Rice’s hip.  Ray Rice has been mum about the condition of Ray Rice’s hip.

The injury report has been speaking volumes about Ray Rice’s hip.

Rice has yet to practice this week due to the strained hip flexor suffered without contact on Sunday against the Browns.  Come Friday, the Ravens will apply a label to Rice regarding his likely availability for Sunday against the Texans.

Look for the Ravens to hide in the safe harbor of questionable.  The 50-50 designation allows the team to go either way, and to basically make the Texans think they may see Rice even if the Ravens know they won’t.

It’s a legitimate way to engineer the injury reports in a way that helps the team confuse its opponent.

Without Rice, Bernard Pierce and Shaun Draughn would be carrying the load for the Ravens, who also are missing receiver Jacoby Jones, due to a knee injury suffered in Week One at Denver.  And tight end Dennis Pitta, who suffered a hip injury in training camp.  And receiver Anquan Boldin, who got from the 49ers the money the Ravens didn’t want to pay him.

Better start revamping that playbook, as every other page must be a dump-off play to Rice.

The reason Boldin is mentioned in every Raven’s article, is because it was the most obvious mistake “Teflon Newsome” was forced to make this season. He should have made it happen.

The Texans will clober the Ravens just stating the obvious.. No way B.Pierce and Torrey blow up in this game considering how pedestrian that offense looked on sunday and i was at the stadium.

This from the same internet hack who gets all up in arms every time Bill Belichick does the very same thing.

They are better off not rushing him back. It is a long season and they have Pierce cover the work.

Just watch Sunday night scoobs, you’ll see. They’re gonna go back to the 05 days and do a some WR reverses to Brown who’ll rifle it to Sanders for a TD. Score 50 and rise up those O rankings.

So let me get this straight? The fans of a .500 team from last year and got off to an 0-2 start this season are criticizing the reigning champs who currently have a better record?

Hey Steeler fans, life is good here on planet earth.
