Vick exits late with an injury

Getty Images

With the Eagles trailing by 10 and less than two minutes on the clock, the home team has tried to mount an unlikely comeback against the Chiefs.

The result could be something that many deemed to be likely, if not inevitable:  An injury to quarterback Mike Vick.

Vick exited the game after Chiefs linebacker Justin Houston sacked Vick, giving Houston 4.5 on the night.  The specific injury isn’t clear.

Vick also fumbled on the play, giving the ball to the Chiefs.

Injury update: He bruised his ego

Vick had 2 interceptions, 1 fumble, a QB rating of about 50, and 1 spectacular scramble. Pretty much his career in microcosm.

Andy Reid deserves some serious props for already having more wins than last year’s KC team…

Get outta here… Hope he can play next week. He is knocking on the door of Brett Favre’s consecutive games started record.

Haha!! Did you guys see KC celebrating like they just won the Super Bowl? Mr Manning will be bringing a reality check soon enough..

So Vick and McCoy faked injuries on offense? Who is slowing who down?

And classy eagles fans booking injured Chiefs. But Chiefs fans doing the CHOP and sticking around is PRICELESS!

Wilson seems to be the one with the perfect grasp of both reading from the pocket and taking off on zone read or random scrambles. He always get down and throws good balls. I don’t want the skins to go back to zone read heavy. It opens a QB up to hits if he doesn’t always get down at the correct time.

This should be the last year for Vick.

DFree was right, as are most of Vick’s critics. He’s not going to get through this year. It’s somewhat of a shame, somewhat.

Redskin fan. Take note. Put up with RG3 playing exclusively from the pocket, it’ll get your team more mileage.

Hmm…. Vick is hurt while turning the ball over .
    Sounds right.

I’d bet a few bucks that he won’t be the starting QB at the end of the season.

    Houston . we don`t have a problem …4.5 sack and 2 fumble recoveries .

Donovan McNabb thinks Vick is overrated.

AWFUL. This guy is terrible. Let Foles play, he can not be worse. Don’t let the fake numbers from last week fool you. If he wasn’t terrible, he’s of had 650 yards at least (missed Jackson 3 times when he was behind the D), which is why they lost last week. his 4 turnover, inability to read a defense, and general lack of QB skill were why they lost today

He’s NEVER been a decent QB. he was just so athletic when he was younger that it didn’t matter. Now that he’s not that fast anymore (and he’s not, who cares what he did in some stupid foot race, on the field he’s run down by lineman regularly), the glaring flaws shine that much brighter

I’m convinced Chip has outsmarted us all, knowing this team will never win more than 4 games with Vick as the QB, putting himself in position to draft a franchise QB

I’m stunned! Michael Vick getting injured???

  17. geefan1 says: Sep 20, 2013 12:10 AM

    Wow. Nobody saw THAT coming.

Vick shines again! 1 TD, 2 Interceptions, and game over on a fumble and of course he’s hurt (never completed a season in the NFL). How long until the Eagles dump this loser and let him get back to what he’s good at . . . dog fighting!

    That’s kinda funny

  20. maiphatdong says: Sep 20, 2013 1:37 AM

Vick is and was, always, a terrible QB

    Who didn’t predict this?
