Gronkowski questionable for Sunday

Rob Gronkowski AP

For the first time this season, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is listed as something other than doubtful on the team’s final injury report of the week.

Gronkowski is questionable for Sunday’s date with the Buccaneers, which fits with what Gronkowski said about his condition earlier this week. He said he had progressed “big time” from last week and Ed Werder of ESPN reported that he was 50-50 to play against Tampa.

Other reports, including our own, have been more pessimistic about Gronkowski being in the lineup, but he’s clearly moving in the right direction in terms of making his 2013 debut.

Things don’t look as good for wide receiver Danny Amendola. Amendola, who did not play against the Jets in Week Two, will not be having sports hernia surgery but avoiding an operation isn’t going to be enough to get him on the field this week. He’s listed as doubtful and finding someone who thinks he will be on the field is about as difficult as finding Bigfoot.

Wide receiver and special teams stalwart Matthew Slater is the only Patriot who has been ruled out for the game.

Oh, stop it will ya? The entire 53 man roster is listed as “Questionable” by decree of Dr. Evil, Bill Belechick. He’ll play…catch 12 passes for 129 yds and 2 TD’s

While I generally agree with that remark, I’m not quite sure why you’d post it in a thread about a Pats-Bucs game.

Oh man, he didn’t murder anyone, did he…?

If Gronk had fusion surgery I’d be surprised to see him playing already…. I had it done in Jan. and still not completely healed. Of course I’m not a Gronk, but still. Seems to me they should proceed with caution… P.L.I.F. not a pretty procedure to watch.

The Patriots are done. You had a nice streak of cheating to win and getting caught but all good things must come to an end.
Sure…you’ll make the playoffs this year because of the gravy schedule but you won’t be playing in the SB.
I know all the fans are just wishing that Brady could win a SB,post spygate.so you could pump your fists in the air and scream “We won without cheating,,,,I knew we could do it”
That’s something to be proud about but enjoy the season anyway.
You always have the chance that the NFL will make up a new rule for Brady too. That’s something I’m sure the grandkids will enjoy hearing you talk about.

    Sick of Gronk.
Doesn’t want to play, just collect his paycheck.
Bet he doesn’t have any problem partying…
