LaRon Landry ruled out for Colts

LaRon Landry

The Colts, who have no shortage of injury concerns, are expected to be missing one of the NFL’s leading tacklers for Sunday’s game at San Francisco.

Free safety LaRon Landry, who has 26 stops in two games for Indianapolis, was ruled out on the club’s injury report Friday after missing his third consecutive practice with an ankle injury.

Also, Colts starting inside linebacker Pat Angerer is doubtful with a knee injury. Like Landry, Angerer has not practiced all week.

A third defensive starter, defensive end Cory Redding, was added to the injury report with a back injury. He is questionable after not practicing on Friday.

In potentially better news for the Colts’ defense, strong safety Antoine Bethea was able to go through a limited practice Friday after missing Wednesday and Thursday. Like Redding, Bethea is questionable.

Joe Lefeged, Sergio Brown and Delano Howell are the Colts’ reserve safeties.

The Colts also list center Samson Satele as questionable. He missed practice on Friday with an elbow injury. He went through full workouts on Wednesday and Thursday.

Every other active player on the Colts’ injury report is probable, including wide receiver T.Y. Hilton, who practiced on a limited basis Friday with a groin injury.
