Saints will be without Harper, and possibly Evans

The Saints will be without safety Roman Harper this week because of a knee injury, and could be without someone they’ve counted on for years.

According to Katherine Terrell of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, veteran guard Jahri Evans is listed as questionable, after missing the whole week of practice with a hamstring injury.

If he can’t go, it would end a streak of 114 straight starts, the third-longest streak among active players. Evans hasn’t missed a game since being drafted in 2006.

The Saints also declared safety Isa Abdul-Quddus out, and listed running back Mark Ingram (toe) as questionable after he missed practice all week.

  1. Ingram being out just improved running game. Wasted a pick on Reggie Bush, Mark Ingram. No RB is worth a first round pick. Maybe they will learn their lesson. Eventually.

Ingram has not done squat. However, Reggie Bush was an important part of the Saints offense when they won the Super Bowl.

Loomis and Payton can’t hit on every single draft pick. I think their track record regarding drafts and UDFA’s since ’06 speaks for itself.

  4. Deactivate Ingram or trade him the way that the Browns traded away his old Bama running mate, T-Rich.

A loss Ingram, aka Ron Dayne Jr., is anyone except his employer’s gain!
