Steelers list Le’Veon Bell as questionable

Le'Veon Bell AP

Steelers rookie running back Le’Veon Bell put in his second consecutive full practice on Friday and is questionable on the club’s injury report for Sunday’s game against Chicago.

A second-round pick from Michigan State, Bell has missed the first two regular-season games with a foot injury suffered in Pittsburgh’s second preseason game.

The Steelers are 31st in rushing yards entering Week Three.

Five Steelers are listed as probable on the injury report, including tight end Heath Miller, who was a full practice participant for a third straight day. He appears set to make his 2013 debut after suffering a torn ACL late last season. Rookie outside linebacker Jarvis Jones (heel) is also probable after his first full practice of the week.

Steelers starting cornerback Cortez Allen (ankle) has been ruled out for a second consecutive game. He has not practiced all week. William Gay will start for Allen.

From a Steelers fan: Don’t rush Bell back, he’s not going to make a big difference.

Blaming our running troubles on our current backs is just like blaming Sanchez for the Jets passing trouble was: somewhat true, but mainly misplaced. Sure the people currently playing suck, but they aren’t getting any help either. Adrian Peterson couldn’t run behind the Steeler’s o line.

Shouldn’t he be dubbed “oft-injured”? Trent Richardson has that label and this guy has already missed more games than he has.

The Bears will win this game and go 3-0 but Im not underestimating the Steelers. Chicago will have to play some good football for the whole game too win it. the Steelers wont lay down for them.

They should not even think about playing Bell this weekend, let him heel. The Steelers still win this game by a td.

I think Bell would help considering Redman doesn’t have the explosion of bell, and Jones, doesn’t have the power of bell nor the size to really be effective in pass protection. Which is why Bell is by far the most rounded back and probably the most rounded back Tomlin has had with the Steelers and in reality is the first three down back we’ve had since the Bus
