Champ Bailey questionable for Monday night

Yes, the Broncos have lost left tackle Ryan Clady for the balance of the season. But they may be getting back cornerback Champ Bailey for the first time since the preseason.

Bailey officially is listed as questionable with a foot sprain he suffered last month. He hadn’t officially practiced until this week, and he was limited on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Also questionable for the Broncos are linebacker Shaun Phillips (back) and tight end Joel Dreessen (knee).

Probable for the Broncos are tight end Jacob Tamme (non-injury), safety Duke Ihenacho (ankle), running back C.J. Anderson (knee), cornerback Omar Bolden (shoulder), receiver Wes Welker (ankle), receiver Eric Decker (shoulder), guard Chris Kuper (ankle), and long snapper Aaron Brewer (rib).

The Raiders’ list is shorter, but not as promising. Tackle Menelik Watson (knee) is out. Safety Tyvon Branch (ankle) is out. Tight end David Ausberry (tight end) is out. Guard Lucas Nix (ankle) is questionable.

The Broncos host the Raiders on Monday night.

As a Broncos fan, I wouldn’t mind him sitting out this game. I can only imagine Oakland trying to throw deep balls at him all game in order to stay in the game…

The only reason ESPN has asked for this game is so that they can ignore the game keep constantly talking and lording about manning. There is no other reason for them to have this matchup on MNF.

In my opinion Payton Manning is the greatest passer in NFL history -without a doubt – but can he be considered the best QUARTERBACK given all the times he’s choked?? Seriously, the dude always seems to choke on the grandest stage year in and year out…he’s a super choker…hes like.the superman of choking and being clutch in the playoffs is his cryptonite..if the Broncos want to be considered true contenders when the playoffs roll around they need to teach Wes Welker how to perform the Heimlich maneuver for when Payton Manning starts choking the season away in the 4th quarter. Remember that one time when the Broncos spanked the Ravens in the regular season and then the Ravens went on to win the Superbowl? ^_^ Good times. Thanks for making that championship run taste so sweet Donkey fans, the win just wouldn’t have felt as good if u guys didn’t celebrate before u lost. Mmmmm, memories are fun.

This game has all the trappings of an upset, but (choke) I have to admit it that with Manning the Broncos are an elite team, as they were when Elway was there.

The Raiders defense is much improved from last year, really a motley crew this year, but I like em.

My dream, ( 3 seconds on the clock, Janokowski holds his own field goal attempt from 69 yards out!!!

    It’s gooooood!!!! Tha Raiders win!

First let me Champ Bailey was maybe the best CB in NFL for 10 years. The way sports media talks about him today is like he is still top of his game and Bronco’s are hurting without him. I watched him close out last year getting torched and remember Bronco fans looking at him as a liability even before the playoffs. A year passes and analysts all forget and talk about his return like he’s still a game changer. I don’t get it.

This is one of the biggest rivalries in the history of the NFL. The Raiders currently lead the league in Sacks and rushing as well as plays over 20 yards and except for a missed fg or 2 blown calls by the refs would be 2-0 as they beat Indy but the refs screwed them as usual.

We’ve elected 3 Presidents since Oakland has had a .500 football team… Any TRAIDER fan that open their mouth to say ANYTHING until they COMPLETE A SEASON with a WINNING RECORD should have their HEAD EXAMINED…lol

Where to begin? How about it’s PEYTON not Payton. You moron know your players and facts before posting. Another thing is that Rahim Moore was his Kryptonite with a K not C in the playoffs because how do you give up a TD with 30 seconds left no timeouts and you are at home. Let’s not bring up the TD Manning threw to Thomas to put them up in the game. I am still amazed to this day that people rip manning and would take him on their team in a heart beat. It’s a good thing the Ravens play Cleveland twice a year to build their confidence because when they played denver in week 1 not only was it the most points they have given up in FRANCHISE history (49) but it was the worst beating a superbowl champ has taken to open the next season. i agree Manning sucks. Go Ravens, Raiders, Chargers and who ever else has an all-world QB better than Manning.

  22. gbfanforever says: Sep 22, 2013 9:52 AM

Manning is a great passer who most teams fans would take but let’s face it, his post season career has been a serious disappointment and that’s not up for debate.
