Ravens running back Ray Rice has started 43 consecutive regular-season games.

However, that streak is reportedly likely to come to an end.

The Ravens are “slated’ to start Bernard Pierce at running back on Sunday against Houston, Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reported on Saturday, citing a source.

Rice, 26, has missed all three days of practice this week with a hip injury. He is listed as doubtful on the injury report.

According to Wilson, Rice’s ailment is seen as a “two-week injury.”

A second-year pro from Temple, Pierce has rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown in 28 carries in the Ravens’ first two regular-season games.

I’ve been saying since Week 3 of last year that this guy will eventually take the job from Rice. Now he’s hurt, Bernard gets his chance…….. and so it begins…….

Pierce could start for quite a few teams. I wouldn’t be too worried if I was a Ravens fan.

why would an ignorant steeler fan like that clown go on an article about any team and laugh when the steelers are absolutely miserable and would love to have a back half as good as pierce. of course with that miserable excuse of a line, it wouldnt matter anyway.

Pierce has shown he is a one cut and go runner, gains more yards are the first hit, is bigger and stronger. Not and issue. The Ravens secondary will decide who wins on Sunday.

18 0 The answer my friend is that we are the steelers is actually your raven pride and joy. No denials by him or wearethesteelers so your claim,to your superior analytical prowess should pick that up. Raven trolls are jerks.

Rice is a good guy and good runner. Never wNt to see anyone get hurt. But the over the top raven fans are JUST as bad as the over the top steeler fans.
