Bengals up 14 before Packers offense runs a play

The Bengals have gotten off to a quick start in Cincinnati.

Cincinnati went 80 yards in 10 plays after taking the opening kickoff and capped things off with a Giovani Bernard touchdown run to take a 7-0 lead. Andy Dalton was 3-of-3 for 54 yards on the drive, hitting Mohamad Sanu twice for 46 yards on the way to the end zone.

The Packers then blew a chance to get Aaron Rodgers on the field when Jeremy Ross couldn’t handle the kickoff. Bengals safety Taylor Mays recovered on the two-yard line, setting up an easy BenJarvus Green-Ellis touchdown run to extend Cincinnati’s lead to 14 points before the Packers have even had a chance to run a play.

That should be changing quickly, but only if Ross is able to hold onto the ball this time around.

Don’t worry. The Packers have 6 easy wins in the division. Going into the bye a game or two behind Choke-cago wouldn’t be the end of the world.

Another week, another headshot to a packers player, another no call by the official. Yay safety.

Ross cost the team a reasonable chance to come back against the Niners with his boneheaded decision to return a kick to the nine-yard line and now this. Packers need a real returner.

Yes, apparently the teams are laying down for the Bears, who should be 0-2.

13 teams (not the Bears, who always play hard) evidently laid down for the Pack in 2011, until GB returned the favor in their first playoff game.
