Brady keeping tabs on his old wideouts, in case

Deion Branch AP

Tom Brady is trying to be accountable and supportive.

But it’s also clear he’d like some help.

According to Ian Rapoport and Michael Silver of the NFL Network, the Patriots quarterback has been calling and texting former teammates Deion Branch and Brandon Lloyd about their availability.

Branch has suggested he’s ready to return whenever the call from someone with personnel authority comes in, while Lloyd isn’t yet, while he’s busy acting in zombie movies.

The Patriots passing game offense has had a living dead quality lately, so it makes sense that Brady would want to know whether some of his former trusted targets are ready to help.

No brainer for Pats to get Dion back!!! What versatile player! I’m a Raider guy but he is the real deal! Wish they would have kept Welker rather than the Broncos and Manning!! Stupid move!!! Remember no more Tuck rule Tommy!!!

He should ask Welker what his availability is.

At the very least have Deion come in and teach a seminar about knowing where you’re supposed to be and when.

The only thing Branch might be coming back for is receivers coach.

I’d text Randy Moss before any of those two I’f I were Tom. Plus Randy knows the system, it’s a no brainier. They are all around the same age.

How many SB’s have your Redskins won in the past 20 years?

And it looks like this year will be same-old, same old for Wash…they’ll be lucky to get 6 wins the way things look.
