Clay Matthews leaves with hamstring injury

The Bengals are trying to rally back after giving up 30 straight points to the Packers and the Green Bay defense will have to stop them without linebacker Clay Matthews.

Matthews has left the game in the third quarter with a hamstring injury and the Bengals capitalized with a touchdown on the first series without Matthews on the field. Andy Dalton hit A.J. Green for a 20-yard touchdown to score Cincinnati’s first points of the game since they jumped up 14-0 early in the first quarter.

The Bengals got the ball right back when Terence Newman intercepted an Aaron Rodgers pass. The Packers defense held this time, though. Tramon Williams and Mike Daniels sacked Andy Dalton and Mike Nugent missed a 52-yard field goal to leave the Packers in front 30-21 with the fourth quarter about to begin.

The Pack has to be careful not to knock Andy Dalton out of the game.

    They need him in there.

Whos hiding? The Bengals won, Rodgers couldn’t lead a 4th quarter comeback and was uncomfortable all day. It was a mistake filled game for both teams but the Bengals came out on top.

Nothing to be ashamed about, a 1-2 start is not ideal but at least they’re not 0-3. Bye week seems to come at the right time as GB needs to get a lot of guys healthy after that game.

Mathews is a good pash rusher, but man, his hamstrings must be made out of tissue paper.

Packers are not playoff caliber: terrible offensive line, no defense and poor running game. Welcome to reality.
