Henry Melton hauled off the field, won’t return

The Bears are hanging onto a late 27-20 lead, but they may be getting some bad news.

A cart just came onto the field to haul defensive tackle Henry Melton off the field.

Melton appeared to injure his left knee, and won’t return tonight.

Melton’s playing out the season on the franchise tender of $8.45 million, having failed to get a long-term deal from the Bears this offseason.

Sad if this is a major injury that keeps him from getting that big contract he deserves.

NO O-line and Rodgers wont make it threw this game. I want a ACL

Suddenly the outcome of this game seems less important.

Not sure if it does, but the franchise tag should include some type of injury insurance for the player. Don’t think it’s right that they should be basically forced to sign the one year deal and lose their only chance at a big long-term contract when they blow out a knee.

Eerily similar to the Brandon Joiner’s ACL tear on Hard Knocks this season. As a bears fan I’m hoping that’s not the case…huge loss.

Ouch 😦 and I am a Lions fan. Sorry to hear it, especially on a contract year.

Too bad he went down on a blowout. This Steeler fan hopes it’s not serious. The Bears are the real deal, and Melton’s a good cog. Truth be told I can’t stand the Packers, so…

When I’m wrong I’ll admit it, but Ike, also the real deal. Even marshals big catch Ike was a blanket, perfect pitch and catch – not much you can do. Congrats, good game. I hope you lose only once more this year – the SB, to us.

Crown of the helmet is still butt hurt from knowing his steelers will never be as good as the Packers franchise. 13 and counting…
