The Bills pushed safety Jairus Byrd up to questionable on their injury report for the first time this season, but he’s still not ready to make his 2013 debut.
Byrd highlights the list of Bills inactives for Sunday’s game against the Jets and has yet to be active since reporting to the team late in August after finally signing his franchise tender for the year. Aaron Williams and Da’Norris Searcy will start at safety for Buffalo.
The other inactives for the Bills are cornerback Stephon Gilmore, cornerback Ron Brooks, kicker Dustin Hopkins, offensive lineman Doug Legursky, tight end Chris Gragg and wide receiver Marquise Goodwin.
Jets defensive end/linebacker Quinton Coples is active for the first time this season after recovering from an ankle injury. Quarterback Brady Quinn, linebacker Ricky Sapp, guard Will Campbell, tackle Ben Ijalana, tackle Oday Aboushi, wide receiver Ryan Spadola and linebacker Scott Solomon are inactive for the home team.
