The Packers offense has been slow to ignite against the Bengals and they won’t have tight end Jermichael Finley around for the rest of the day to help get it going.
The team has announced that Finley is done for the day after suffering a concussion. Finley was hit in the head by Bengals safety George Iloka’s shoulder while trying to make a catch in the first quarter of the game.
The play was not flagged by officials despite being the same kind of play that led to Eagles linebacker DeMeco Ryans being fined this week after the league said he should have been penalized for making contact with Chargers wide receiver Malcom Floyd in Week Two.
Iloka should probably expect a fine. The Packers have climbed back to 14-10 thanks to the three turnovers caused by their opportunistic defense, including a fumble returned for a touchdown by safety M.D. Jennings.
