Mixed signals on Ed Reed’s availability

Multiple reporters claim safety Ed Reed will make his debut with the Texans in his return to Baltimore.  So many have reported it that it’s become essentially a given that Reed will play.

But then came a segment of ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown, when Suzy Kolber and Ron Jaworski addressed the issue from the site of Sunday’s game.

Both Kolber and Jaworski sounded pessimistic about Reed playing, with Kolber mentioning Reed’s concerns about the turf at M&T Bank Stadium and Jaworski explaining that Reed’s body language and demeanor suggest he won’t be playing.

The mystery will be resolved soon, when the inactives for the 1:00 p.m. ET games are announced.  We’ll have them all right here.
