The Lions will be without one of the league’s more versatile tailbacks on Sunday at Washington.
Running back Reggie Bush is inactive, Tim Twentyman of DetroitLions.com reported on Sunday morning.
Bush suffered a knee injury in the Week Two loss at Arizona. PFT reported on Friday that the Lions were considering sitting Bush in Week Three with an eye on the season ahead.
Joique Bell, a capable and productive backup, is expected to get the majority of the work in the Lions’ backfield with Bush out.
